About the artist

Elena Sivishkina was born in 1964 in Volgograd, graduated from the art faculty of the Kursk Pedagogical Institute in 1989 and has been teaching at the Children’s Art School since 1995. Since 2000, Elena Vivishkina has been a member of the Union of Artists of the Russian Federation with a specialization in Painting. She is a participant of regional, zonal, republican and international exhibitions.

The works of Elena Sivishkina are metaphorical and transcendent, they are about emotional vibrations that are above real experience, about natural phenomena and human life. Her supersensible beginnings, her pantheism make up the peculiarity of her work – the world of Lena Sivishkina.

Lyubov Yakhontova

Elena Sivishkina is one of the few artists of the generation who came to Russian art in the early 90s and did not leave painting, did not betray her stylistic preferences and beliefs, stubbornly following herself, finding her own artistic language and themes.
