About the artist
Vigen Avetisyan is a professional photographer, member of the Union of Photo Artists of Russia since 2014. Specialization – portrait photography and reportage.
Vigen Avetisyan was born in 1970 in Yerevan and graduated from Yerevan Polytechnic Institute. He is a participant and prize-winner of many photo exhibitions and competitions, organizer, co-organizer and participant of a large number of social art projects, multiple winner of state scholarships for the implementation of creative projects of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, winner of the Grand Prix of the competition “Without Barriers”.
In his projects, Vigen uses both modern photographic equipment and cameras of the late XIX- early XX centuries, photo paper and reagents of various degrees of preservation, X-ray films, monocles and a variety of additional and unusual optical devices.
Vigen Avetisyan’s photographic works are included in a large number of private collections in Russia and abroad.
