The exhibition “Follow me, reader!” opened in the Volgograd Mashkov Museum of Fine Arts. The exhibition presents seven portraits by Gleb Vyatkin of the stars of Russian literature – Alexander Pushkin, Mikhail Lermontov, Fyodor Tyutchev, Fyodor Dostoevsky, Marina Tsvetaeva, Mikhail Bulgakov and literary critic Mikhail Bakhtin. This literary series has been created by the artist for the last 12 years.
The exposition is placed in a separate hall of the museum, the location of the paintings creates a sense of visual contact and communication of the depicted characters – between themselves and the audience. This was the idea of the curator of the exhibition – art critic L.A.Yakhontova, who provided all exhobited artworks with interesting and vivid essays.
The opening of the exhibition took place in a warm atmosphere of spiritual unity between lovers of painting and connoisseurs of literature. The special energy of this exhibition did not leave anyone indifferent, the exchange of impressions grew into emotional discussions. The whole atmosphere was imbued with the magic of creativity – both literary and pictorial.
The exhibition will last until the end of May and we will be glad to present it to the visitors of the Volgograd Museum.
