In the bell tower of the Nikolsky Cathedral opened (already for the third time) the exhibition “Kamyshin plein air”. This is a joint project of the Kamyshin Nikolsky Cathedral and the Seven Winds charitable art foundation.
Plein air sessions of artists from different cities of Russia have been held in Kamyshin and its environs since 2007. Petr Zverkhovsky, Gleb Vyatkin, Elena Sivishkina, Stanislav Azarov, Alexey Shilov, Nikolai Arzhanov, Boris Glubokov, Konstantin Sutyagin, Svetlana Sutyagina, Olga Pluzhnikova, Mikhail Tikhonov, Elena Utenkova, Igor Kamyanov, Irina Zatulovskaya, Nadezhda Krestinina, Yulia Kartoshkina, Sergey Belousov, Aron Zinshtein, Tatyana Zuses, Alexander Florensky, Maria Ivanova and many other artists have already been here.
The oldest in the Volgograd region, St. Nicholas Cathedral in Kamyshin is the center of not only the church, but also the social life of the city and the region. Therefore, the fact that the participants of the Kamyshin plein-airs and their works are frequent guests of the Archpriest Alexy Kuznetsov, is completely natural.
We invite residents of Kamyshin to the exhibition!
