About this exhibit
Exhibition of paintings by Gleb Vyatkin in the State Memorial Historical, Artistic and Natural Museum-Reserve of Vasily Dmitrievich Polenov.
This is the first posthum exhibition of works by Gleb Vyatkin (1934-2021) – one of the most prominent representatives of post-Cubism in Soviet / Russian painting of the 1970s-2000s. The exhibition presents selected works from the collection of the Seven Winds Charitable Art Foundation.
The works of Gleb Vyatkin were not exhibited in our country during the Soviet period. However, thanks to the invitation of Ernesto Treccani, since 1977 the artist has worked and exhibited in Italy. In the post-Soviet period, Gleb Vyatkin participated in more than 100 exhibitions in Russia (Moscow, St. Petersburg, Perm, Saratov, Volgograd and other cities) and abroad – in various cities of Italy, Germany, France and the USA.
The works of Gleb Vyatkin are included in collections of the State Russian Museum in St. Petersburg, the Moscow Museum of Modern Art (MMOMA), Volgograd Mashkov Museum of Fine Arts, Municipal Art Gallery of Coventry (Great Britain), Saratov Radischev Museum of Fine Arts, Surikov Foundation (Spain), Seven Winds Foundation (Russia), Nikolay Gogol House Museum (Moscow), Perm State Art Gallery, Krasnodar Regional Art Museum, as well as in more than fifty significant private collections in Russia, USA, Spain, Germany, France, Switzerland, Italy, Bolivia, Hungary and other countries.
The opening will take place on October 9, 2021 at 15:00, the exhibition will last until November 14.
