From October 31 to December 3, 2014, the Volgograd Mashkov Museum of Fine Arts will host solo exhibition of Gleb Vyatkin dedicated to the artist’s eightieth anniversary.
This exhibition is the result of half a century of creative work of the artist and the continuation of the exposition project “Jack of Diamonds. Postscript”, launched last year by the Seven Winds Foundation together with the Volgograd Mashkov Museum of Fine Arts and caused a wide response and a huge audience interest. The exhibition includes Gleb Vyatkin’s early works from public and private collections, and the works of recent years, displaying all the main stages of his artistic way.
The name of the exhibition was not chosen by chance. According to his first profession, Gleb Mikhailovich is a violinist, what determined a lot in his artistic work. In the words of art critic L.A. Yakhontova, “the music contained in the score of colors and lines in rhythms born of cubist exaggerations and shifts of forms will become the main character of the exhibition.”
